Barriers To Womens Empowerment In India

Barriers To Womens Empowerment in India

Womens empowerment  is the process in which womens are given the power to prove themselves  in all types of work. But there are  a number of barriers on the way to women empowerment in India also.
We all know that India is a developed, modern country but then also in today’s era there are many restrictions which the women have to obey and there are still many rights which are denied to them.
Womens  are denied on the basis of gender, they are not given as many rights as men. They are seen from ages as doing household chores ,they are still expected to stay in limits and follow the rules defined by the men.
The biggest barrier to this is illiteracy and the cheap and narrow mindset of the people of India who thinks that womens are only food makers and  not business developers. They are appreciated only if they take good care of family, do household chores, cooks food and not when they go office and do hard duty .
Also if a women tries to overcome these barriers  then they are burdened with the household duties as well as the job and are not at all supported by their family .Many find it hard and the only solution left with them is to resign their job. If a man comes after working hours from office they are said to take rest but is a women comes after working hard and long they are supposed to complete their household chores, because of illiteracy also many womens are denied from showing their actual power as they are uneducated.
Today womens empowerment is the need of the hour . We all know that womens are as talented as men and they can be best in any field, there is also a great need of them   for making a country powerful and is must for a country development. So, womens must be empowered and should be given the right to shape up their personal and professional life as men. They should be given the right to be independent and take their decisions independently.
Womens  empowerment is not only denied because of the patriarchal society, but also because of the womens who could clearly understand the problem of other women  does not stand for other women . Not just the men but also the women in our society pull other women down.
Instead of appreciating the women who have tried to overcome these barriers they talk ill about them which is very wrong.
If women will start appreciating other women and help each other our society will become a much better place for women.
If a man comes late night after working , they are seen as hard worker but if a women comes late night they are seen as bad example for the society , this all impede and works as barrier on the way to womens empowerment.
So, we have to change the society view against women, also all the people should be given proper education so that we can break this patriarchal society system.
If women and men will share the same post and end this patriarchal society , then this is the only way how womens can be empowered.
We should not forget that there are many barriers in every good work but to overcome them is the only way to get success. Womens empowerment is difficult but not impossible we just need an educated society who gives men and women equal right.
